Abonyi Erno
Painter, graphic artist. He was a student of Károly Ferenczy at the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts, and later studied under Simon Hollósy in Munich. He spent a year studying at the Julian Academy in Paris. He attended the Nagybánya Free School in 1917. In addition to Budapest, he worked in Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár), Timișoara (Temesvár), and Arad. He held his first exhibition in 1914 in Miskolc, featuring his graphic works. From 1917, he participated in exhibitions at the Műcsarnok (Palace of Art). One of his works can be found in the collection of the Hungarian National Gallery.
