Bak Imre
From 1958, he was a student at the Academy of Fine Arts and in the early 1960s, he was a member of the Zugló Circle. Starting in 1968, he participated in the Iparterv exhibitions. In 1971, as a scholarship holder at the Folkwang Museum in Essen, he presented a highly successful exhibition. In 1971, he was one of the founders and program developers of the Budapest Workshop, created to promote modern art and improve the visual environment. Between 1971 and 1979, he worked in the visual arts department of the Institute of Popular Culture. From 1987 to 1991, he was a professor at the University of Applied Arts and the director of the Institute of Cultural Theory and Teacher Training. In 1990, he was appointed as a university professor. In addition to his teaching activities, his theoretical writings on art are also significant.
