Haraszty Istvan
Sculptor, graphic artist. Self-taught. From 1960, he pursued painting and graphic studies at the Dési Huber Art Circle under the guidance of Ferenc Laborcz. He received the Kassák Prize in 1975, the Munkácsy Prize in 1988, and the Kossuth Prize in 2000. In addition to mobile sculptures, he also creates paintings and graphics. His first solo exhibition was held in 1966, followed by numerous appearances both domestically and internationally. In 1998, he summarized his work in a retrospective exhibition at the Műcsarnok (Palace of Art). His works can be found in public spaces, the Hungarian National Gallery, and prestigious contemporary collections both at home and abroad. An oeuvre catalog titled "Frank J.: The Kinetic Sculptor" was published by the Műcsarnok in 1998.
